Habib attended University of Maiduguri for a Bachelor’s degree in Common Law & Sharia (LL.B & Sharia). Thereafter, he was called to the Nigerian Bar as Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Habib was in private practice between 2006-2010, until he took up a teaching appointment with Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola as Assistant Lecturer.
Habib holds a Masters degree(LL.M) in Law and Technology from Tilburg University in the Netherlands. In addition, he obtained a PhD in International Aspects of Law with a thesis that dealt with the development of agriculture focused adaptation laws in Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.
Habib currently teaches Medical Law, Environmental Law and IT Law at the School of Law.
