AMICAL’s Digital Collections Committee is happy to announce an upcoming webinar, “Digital collections: Where to begin?” Committee members Stephen Urgola, Ryder Kouba, and Demetra Papaconstantinou will expand upon the presentations and discussions at the May 2016 conference in Rome.
This webinar is aimed for those working in libraries or archives who are thinking about starting to digitize parts of their collections.
We’ll cover the value of building digital collections, selection of holdings to be digitized, and a showcase of existing AMICAL institution’s digital collections. Additionally, we’ll discuss the support AMICAL can provide for building digital collections in your institution.
Some related topics – such as ETDs and digital humanities – will not be covered, but let the committee know if you’re interested in them as topics for future webinars.
