Elena Berg
Assistant Professor
American University of Paris
I am a broadly trained evolutionary biologist interested in cooperation and conflict in animal systems, primarily birds and beetles. I enjoy working with students both in the classroom and in my research laboratory (where I study beetle behavior and evolution), and I am eager to learn more about different pedagogical methods. I am a faculty fellow at AUP’s Teaching and Learning Center and have been spearheading an effort to incorporate more team teaching opportunities in the curriculum.
Interests: evolutionary biology, behavior, environmental science, conservation biology, team teaching, interdisciplinary teaching, active learning
