Javanica Curry joined JSTOR in 2003, where she is now a director for institutional participation and strategic partnerships, as well as the consortium manager for JSTOR and Portico – online access and preservation solutions for journals, eBooks, and digital collections. In 2004 and 2007, respectively, Javanica helped to launch ARTstor and Aluka, where she gained knowledge and expertise in considering the accessibility and preservation of digital images and cultural heritage. Javanica received her MA in interdisciplinary studies from New York University and holds a BA in Art History from the University of Redlands.
