Adaptive Learning: A tool that empowers personalized learning

The purpose of this presentation is to share the experience of a pilot study on the implementation of how adaptive learning worked with remedial English students, Summer 2015. The emphasis of the presentation is to show how by: 1. Efficiently planning and defining the learning objectives this new technology addresses the learner’s individual needs. 2. Adapting this pedagogical approach facilitated by the advanced of technology empowers the learner in learning about their learning, the “metacognition” which gives more meaning to their learning and offers them an effective way to remedy the weak points of the objectives to meet.
