AMICAL-AUB workshop on RDA

We are pleased to announce that plans for an intensive 5-day workshop on RDA (Resource Description & Access), scheduled to take place at the American University of Beirut between May 27th and May 31st, 2013 inclusive, are on track. The workshop, which is organized by the American University of Beirut Libraries, and co-sponsored by AUB and AMICAL is led by two expert catalogers from UCLA and the University of Oregon, Ms. Iman Dagher and Ms. Lori Robare. The workshop will cover the new code within the framework of MARC, and will also include: FRBR overview; RDA Toolkit functionality; and the latest updates on RDA. Through lectures, exercises and hands-on cataloging experiences, participants will receive a thorough foundation in RDA. The workshop is open to AUB Library staff, and interested AMICAL members.
