Sharing experiences from classroom-integrated digital projects across the consortium ▶️
This session will provide an opportunity for AMICAL colleagues engaged in digital projects to showcase their pedagogical experiences and inspire other members of the consortium interested or curious about digital scholarship. During the session participants will discuss:

- Finding collaborators (from their institution or from other AMICAL institutions), as well as the benefits and challenges of collaboration
- How they integrated the project into their syllabi
- The different assignments they created around their projects, along with the impact these assignments had on their students

Reflecting and planning for the brave new world of teaching courses with writing, research, and information literacy components
After going fully online during the 2020-2021 academic year followed by a face-to-face, hybrid, or hyflex Fall 2021-2022 semester, it’s time to reflect. It’s an opportunity to collectively share takeaways about adapting teaching for this brave new world for courses or sessions with writing, research, and information literacy components.
What worked well and what new things and changes do you have in mind for Spring 2021-2022 and beyond? And more importantly, it’s a chance to collectively share challenges that are unique to AMICAL members since we’re teaching and working in diverse non-American contexts: from cultural to practical (e.g. plagiarism). Which challenges would you like to find solutions to during the Spring 2021-2022 semester and even Fall 2022-2023?
Who should attend: Faculty teaching courses with a writing, research or information literacy component; librarians involved in information literacy, or who partner with faculty.
Facilitators: Jasmina Najjar (AUB) & Stella Asderi (ACT)
15:00–16:00 (see local time)
Getting started with ACRL’s Project Outcome: Tools and strategies for assessing outcomes for your library’s programs and services ▶️
In this one-hour webinar, attendees will be introduced to the Project Outcome for Academic Libraries surveys and resources. Project Outcome is a free toolkit that helps libraries measure four key learning outcomes – knowledge, confidence, application, and awareness – across seven library program and service areas. The survey topics cover: Instruction, Events/Programs, Research, Teaching Support, Digital & Special Collections, Space, and Library Technology. The toolkit provides academic libraries of any size the means to easily measure outcomes and use that data as the basis for improvements and advocacy.
Prior to the webinar we recommend that participants register for Project Outcome for Academic Libraries and review basic materials in the toolkit. We also encourage you to see the basic overview provided in the Project Outcome 101 webinar recording. This webinar at AMICAL’s Mid-Year Forum will go beyond Project Outcome 101 and will provide substantial time for Q&A with the presenters from ACRL.
The webinar is intended to help stimulate discussion across AMICAL about effective outcome measurement strategies and to engage all library staff in that process.
Who should attend: librarians and library staff interested in improving their library’s programs and services.
Facilitators: ACRL staff members involved with Project Outcome
