Conference hotel
The conference hotel is the Met Hotel located in the harbor area of Thessaloniki, close to the city center. Other hotel options are described below, but attendees are encouraged to stay at the Met, as it was selected by the organizers to provide the best experience for conference attendees as a group. Some form of financial support is available to all attendees who are from Full and Affiliate AMICAL member institutions and who opt to stay at the Met; see Hotel support for details and conditions.
A shuttle bus will be available to drive you from the hotel to the city center, and back again, every half an hour. Check at the hotel reception for the shuttle bus schedule. The hotel is located within walking distance from the city center in case you prefer to walk.

Alternative options
Attendees may wish to seek other accommodation in the city. We can recommend the following hotels:
- Astoria Hotel (3 star)
- City Hotel <(4 star)
- Luxembourg Hotel 3 star)
- Tourist Hotel (2 star)
Attendees not staying at the conference hotel (the Met) will be responsible for making their own booking arrangements.
Transport to and from the ACT campus
A conference bus will be available every day to carry attendees from the Met hotel to the ACT campus and back. The bus schedule is available online. Any updates to the schedule will be communicated onsite to attendees.
The conference bus will make a second stop at a central location between the Met and ACT to pick up and drop off attendees staying at other hotels. This stop will be at the corner of Mitropoleos street and Aristotelous square, at the MONO café-bistro. Attendees will have to bein front of the café ten minutes earlier, since the bus can only make a very short stop (Google Map).
Beyond the pick-up service just mentioned, attendees not staying at the Met hotel are ultimately responsible for ensuring their own transportation between hotel and the conference venues.
